Terms of membership and events

These terms apply when you become an Aktibeto member, register for an Aktibeto event, or use this website. By joining or registering, you agree to them.

Memberships

• Paid memberships are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from the link in your welcome email. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give partial refunds for unused time unless the law requires it.
• If a payment fails, we (through Stripe) will retry and let you know. Access may pause until payment succeeds.
• We may change membership prices. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Events

• Your place is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email (and, for paid events, once payment succeeds).
• Refunds: cancel at least seven days before a paid event for a full refund. Closer to the date, we can transfer your place to a future event.
• If we cancel an event, we refund everyone in full. If we need to change the date, format, or speakers, we'll tell you and offer a refund if the change doesn't work for you.
• Online event joining links are for registered attendees only. Please don't share them.

Conduct

We want every event and community space to be welcoming. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior isn't tolerated, and we may remove anyone who breaks this rule without a refund.

Content and materials

Course materials, recordings, and resources are for your personal use. Please don't resell or republish them without permission. Anything you build in a project team belongs to you and your teammates, unless a client project says otherwise in writing.

Liability

We work hard to make our programs useful, but we can't guarantee a particular job, salary, or business outcome. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the issue arose.
